Now that we are all done scaring our friends and family with Halloween decorations and costumes, it’s time to get ready to bring joy to those around our community.

Christmas in the Nighttime Sky in Twin Falls

The official kickoff for the Christmas season in the Magic Valley is the annual Christmas in the Nighttime Sky celebration. The event is on November 29th this year, the day after Thanksgiving at Kimberly Nurseries in Twin Falls.

The event not only kicks off Christmas in Southern Idaho but doubles as a gift giving fundraiser. Admission to get in is a new unwrapped toy for kids age infant to 16 years-old. Donations can also be made on the CITNSTF website.

It’s always a magical event with the bonfires, music and singing, free potato and chili dinner, and the fireworks show set to music on The Christmas Station. Santa will also be there waiting to hear how good you were this year and what gift you want under the tree.

Where To Park For Christmas in the Nighttime Sky

It’s important to note that you can’t park at Kimberly Nurseries for the event. You need to park at the Lighthouse Christian Church on Eastland Drive in Twin Falls and there will be shuttle buses to take you to and from the event location. Shuttles will run starting at 5 PM and the event will begin at 5:30. The fireworks show is scheduled to happen around 7:30 in the field to the north of Kimberly Nurseries.

As always, this event is a success each year because of the love from the community. Without the gifts brought by attendees, thousands of kids wouldn’t get a Christmas gift. Check out the shelves lined with donated gifts from last year below. Also, thanks to the sponsors of the event for their donations of time and money: Elite Accounting, Idaho Central Credit Union, KMVT, Coca-Cola, Watertec, Middle Man Marketing, Highway 30 Music Fest, The Cochran Group at Keller Williams, Townsquare Media, and Kimberly Nurseries.
