City in Idaho Mailing Out Surveys, It’s Not a Scam to Steal Your Information
We live in a world where we have to be wary of everything.
Many of us don’t even use our phones as phones. When someone calls, and it’s an unknown number, we assume it’s a scam, and we ignore it. When an email hits our inbox from an unknown sender, we just delete it rather than risk opening something malicious.
Even the letters that come to our mailbox seem to be more trash than useful. But here’s why you should watch for a letter from the city, and why it might look like a scam, but it isn’t.
Why You Might Think This Legit Idaho Mail is a Scam
The City of Twin Falls announced that it will be sending out a city survey to residents. The plan is to gather data about how residents feel about their quality of life and how the government is doing. See how this could sound sketchy? A letter in the mail asking you to fill out information about your personal life and where you live could easily be from a malicious source trying to gain access to your personal info.
So, look for the National Community Survey (NCS) letter in the mail from the City of Twin Falls over the next few weeks. Not all households will get the mailed survey. After the initial round of mailed surveys is sent, other residents will be allowed to participate.
You May Think it’s a Scam or Trash, But This Idaho Mail is the Real Deal
To get an email notification about the survey and when it will open to the public, you can sign up on the TFID website.
The survey results will be compared to those of other cities with similar demographics to Twin Falls to compare performance. Results could also be key in helping shape the future of Twin Falls as it grows.
According to the News Flash from the City of Twin Falls, the survey:
captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of the City of Twin Falls' overall livability. The results will show the City’s strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents.
Do you think you’ll fill out the survey or skip the opportunity to have your voice and opinion heard?
