Back in 2023, the Primordial roller coaster at the Lagoon Amusement Park in Utah opened, and it was huge news. We had been reading about the coaster for years and then watched it take more years to finally build it.

A new ride at Lagoon was big news, so why haven’t we heard anything about the 3 new rides that are set to open THIS YEAR at Lagoon?

Utah’s Lagoon Amusement Park Opening 3 New Rides This Year

I was driving through Utah this last weekend and saw a billboard promoting The District opening in 2025 at the Lagoon Amusement Park, and it surprised me. Lagoon is usually really good about making a big deal about their additions. So I had my son look it up on my phone and learned that this ‘addition’ is huge!

The District at Lagoon will be a family-friendly section in Pioneer Village. It being in Pioneer Village could explain why I’d never heard of it since, let’s be honest, Pioneer Village is a section of Lagoon that we never visit and usually forget even exists.

But that changes in 2025 because these three new rides look awesome.

The District will have three new rides and new attractions: Time Tinker and Steamworx are 2 of the new rides with the 3rd being an updated ride that we’ll get to below. Carousel Candy and Peacock Parlour will be new places to get treats. See pictures of each and check out their progress below. Both Time Tinker and Steamworx have a mechanical steampunk look while Carousel Candy and Peacock Parlour look like something out of a fairy tale.

In addition to the new rides and attractions at Lagoon, there’s another exciting change happening with a beloved classic ride. The Helicopters are getting a facelift and a new name. Rivets and Rotors is moving from the main park area to The District in 2025 and will be the 3rd new ride with a steampunk theme at the park in 2025.
