Idaho Ag Company Named ‘Best Employer’ for 2024

Idaho is full of options and varieties of job types but they aren’t all a fit for each individual. My wife is a nurse and loves her job. I would hate it. And on the flip side, she would hate doing my job.

A survey of employers in 2024 has found that there is 1 overall ‘best employer’ in the United States - BUT - Idaho has a different choice.

Best Employer in the US Has 7 Idaho Locations

The study done by Statista gave the top overall spot of ‘best employer’ to Costco. There are 7 Costco warehouses in Idaho, and while it may be a great place to work, it didn’t win the ‘best employer’ title in Idaho.

In fact, Costco didn’t even make the list in Idaho.

Agriculture Giant in Idaho Named ‘Best Employer’ in 2024

The J.R. Simplot Company came in as the winner for Idaho. And this isn’t their first time. Simplot has been named the ‘best employer’ in 5 out of the last 6 years (they didn’t win in 2021). Simplot was followed by WinCo, the University of Idaho, Boise State University, and Amazon.

Simplot also made the list of dream job employers. That means a large number of college students said Simplot offered what they consider to be their dream job.

To get the results, Statista only looked at companies with more than 500 employees.
