Snow came down Sunday night and Monday morning in the Magic Valley and covered Southern Idaho with a blanket of whiteness. When snow hits it is often speculated that schools will close, and parents and children get antsy to see if a snow day will occur. While most of the snow melted in the Magic Valley on Monday afternoon, it still lingers and looms large in other parts of Southern Idaho. Here are the school closures for Tuesday, February 4.

For Tuesday, February 4, there are no school closures announced for Southern Idaho.

With Tuesday being a warmer day, much of the snow has and will continue to melt over the next day or two, making a snow day highly unlikely over the next couple of days.

While the weather isn't as bad on Tuesday, Wednesday will begin to see the temperatures lower, with a high expected to be about 46 degrees in Twin Falls. The temperatures will continue to lower throughout the week.

Thursday is expected to see a high of 37 degrees, with cloudy skies, before winter weather returns on Friday. Temperatures on Friday are expected to be around 33 degrees with a 45% chance of snow.

Keep an eye out for next week, as temperatures will lower even more, with highs expected to be in the low to mid-20s. These temperatures could lead to potential ice and snow if precipitation occurs, which is something to keep an eye out on next week for potential school closures.

Make sure to check back as the weather changes, to see if your child will be attending class day-to-day. We will keep you updated as conditions change and if any school closures do occur, as some districts and counties deal with more snow than others.
